PARIS 2024 OLYMPICS: I.O.C. OPERATIONS RESEARCH
Lindsey Frost spent the summer of 2024 at the 2024 Paris Olympics conducting International Olympic Committee – IOC research. Through Department of Sport Management, Rice University she analyzed soccer, tennis, track & field, and beach volleyball events to evaluate operational effectiveness of event venues and provide future recommendations for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. SFS AUSTRALIA: AUSTRALIAN WET TROPICS RESEARCH
Lindsey Frost spent the summer of 2023 completing STEM research in the Australian Rainforest through the The School for Field Studies. Using RStudio, her team, consisting of Harvard University, Yale University, and Rice University undergraduates, completed statistical analyses using Wilcoxon rank-sum, Kruskal-Wallis H, Anova, and T-tests to determine cover abundance of non-vascular epiphytes. Her team’s methods included fieldwork, labwork, analyzing data, writing scientific reports, and presenting their findings. Her research can be found here:
UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LONDON: MEDIA & FILMMAKING RESEARCH
Lindsey Frost spent the first half of summer 2024 studying media and filmmaking in London at UCL. Through this top ten worldwide university and a film acceptance rate of 3.7%, her team of UCL, University of Oxford, and University of Cambridge undergraduates researched various filmmaking processes and mastered the inner workings of parallel editing, the rule of thirds, motion capture, 2D/3D animation, and intercutting techniques.
